Windows SmartScreen / Code Signing Alert

SysGreen binaries are not code-signed yet (code signing via the SignPath Foundation open-source program is in progress). Because of this, Windows SmartScreen may present a warning dialog stating:"Windows protected your PC / Unknown publisher."This is expected behavior for unsigned installers. To complete installation, click "More info" and select "Run anyway".

What's Changed

  • Applying changes no longer freezes the app. Actions now run in the background with a live progress strip, and the app stays responsive while they finish — with a busy gate that prevents overlapping actions from stepping on each other.
  • Clear confirmation when an action completes. Completed actions now surface an in-app toast, so you get immediate feedback that something worked instead of wondering whether it did.

Execute the file and approve the Windows UAC admin prompt. If prompted by SmartScreen, select "More info" → "Run anyway".

Complete the wizard installation. SysGreen runs as a non-elevated user UI, safely managing startup items read-only until you click Apply.
